Our client, an 18th century, award-winning Gastro pub in the heart of Chester are currently seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join their brigade of talented chefs and support their senior chefs in ensuring the efficient and effective running of the kitchen – while overseeing the junior members of the kitchen brigade.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a fresh food environment and relish the chance to develop your career.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following attributes and skills;
·1 year+ experience as a CDP
·Deliver a reliable, efficient food service
·Show initiative in situations to ensure service is not compromised
·Able to give clear direction, delegate effectively and adapt to change
·Competent in preparation, cooking and presentation of all dishes
·Ability to assist with menu development
·Possess strong decision-making skills
·Consistently work to high standards
·Work safely within all legislation
·Ability to work under pressure
·Strong organisational skills
·Positive ‘can do’ attitude
·Pay attention to detail
·Prepare, cook and present dishes within an agreed section of the kitchen
·Supervise and train Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters who are working alongside you
·Ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen – in line with Company HACCP & COSHH
·Complete all standard checklists as required, to include daily and weekly tasks.
·Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training
·Adhere to all company policies and procedures
·Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
